Northfield Mount Hermon (NMH) is an independent, secular, coeducational boarding and
day school for 650 students in grades 9–12 and a postgraduate year. Located in bucolic
western Massachusetts on the Connecticut River, the school engages the intellect, talent,
and compassion of its students and empowers them to act with humanity and purpose.

That is NMH’s mission. It also lives by the motto “education for the head, heart, and hand.”
