Personally, I noticed the educational and professional opportunities for studying in Australia and my
parents also agreed with this idea. Besides the livable nature of Australia, the motivation behind choosing Australia
as an educational destination is that my aunt is also living in Sydney. I therefore contacted the CETA team to proceed
with the application process. After selecting the right school for myself, the most important thing is adapting myself
to a new environment. Back in Thailand, I was studying in a regular Thai school, as a result, I did come across
some obstacles in the initial period in Australia. Luckily, everything went well with the helpful teachers and friendly
classmates at school. In my view, the Australian education system is way better than that of Thailand, because
students can freely choose the subjects of their own interest, reflecting in students’ determination and excellent
performance compared to studying in mandatory subjects. I am truly happy with studying life in Australia be it the
school, teachers, classmates, educational support system, people in the society and environment. Lastly, I would
like to take this opportunity to invite Thai students and friends to study in Australia so that you could experience
and receive the same opportunity as I do.

I choose to study in Australia because my family and I agree that Australia is among the safest countries
with good-quality education. In the school selection process, CETA team also facilitated us by contacting several
schools for a school visit. After having visited 4 schools, I chose Methodist Ladies’ college (MLC), one of the
schools recommended by CETA, because it perfectly suits my needs and requirements.
Studying here gives me a lot of wonderful experiences. I was also selected as a school ambassador
and participated in an academic debate. More importantly, I had a chance to participate in the Marshmead
program which was the best experience of my year 9. In Marshmead program, participants were required to put
phones and technology away, which allowed me to get to know more about myself and do a lot of new activities
that I had never done before like chopping woods, feeding chicken, ducks, and cows, doing carpentry, planting,
exploring desert and forest and etc. In addition to these interesting activities, I also learned to adapt myself to new
environments, accept differences, have more patience and sacrifice when living with other people.
Regarding the school, I am strongly impressed by the school because of the close attentiveness
given to students, high standard education including beneficial extra-curricular activities and a comfortable
accommodation. Studying here allows me to learn more about life, grow older and become stronger, ready to
face new challenges in this big wide world.
