Advanced Placement (AP) is curricular and examination program designed for American
colleges and universities to assess students’ enrollment into tertiary level. The program
was developed by College Board, an organization responsible for SAT test.
Advanced Placement program is more intensive and depth than the general
curriculum taught in high school in the U.S. The AP program is equivalent to A levels and
International Baccalaureate, both of which are standard qualification for university
entrance in the states.
