Schools in the U.S. are divided into 2 types : public school and private school. Private In order to study in a university level in the U.S., especially leading universities, students
schools tend to have more developed curriculum since its administration is not under need to be prepare for SAT or ACT test which will test students’ aptitude in 4 areas
state or government’s regulation. : English language, Mathematics, reading and science.

Advanced Placement (AP) is curricular and examination program designed for American
colleges and universities to assess students’ enrollment into tertiary level. The program
was developed by College Board, an organization responsible for SAT test.

Advanced Placement program is more intensive and depth than the general
curriculum taught in high school in the U.S. The AP program is equivalent to A levels and
International Baccalaureate, both of which are standard qualification for university
entrance in the states.
