Mae Sot Border Crossing to Myawaddy

Open: 7 days a week from 6.00 a.m. – 8.00 p.m.

You will need to get a Myanmar tourist visa before you travel to
Mae Sot. This can be done at the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok or
Consulate General in Chiang Mai.

Required documents to apply for a visa :
• A valid passport with at least six months remaining validity.

• A photocopy of the 1 page of your passport
• Two 2”X2” photographs on a white background
• The completed visa application form
• Visa fee USD 50.00 or THB 1,750.

Once you have your visa, you can proceed to the Thai Immigration
checkpoint at the Mae Sot Thai-Myanmar Friendship Bridge. After
being stamped out of Thailand, the distance to the Myanmar
immigration checkpoint is just 400 meters on the other side of the
bridge.

Once you have been admitted, you will proceed to Myawaddy.
