Midfield Satellite 1 (SAT-1) at Suvarnabhumi Airport has been awarded the prestigious Prix Versailles
for the World’s Most Beautiful Airport 2024 by the Prix Versailles Selection Committee in collaboration with
UNESCO. The terminal showcases Thailand’s rich cultural identity from the moment travellers arrive, blending
contemporary architectural forms with traditional Thai artistry.
The integration of cultural aesthetics, sustainable design principles, and durable materials reflects the
nation’s heritage and commitment to eco-friendly infrastructure. The abundant use of natural light supports
energy efficiency in alignment with AOT’s Green Airport Policy. This accolade underscores AOT’s dedication to
