The Third Runway officially commenced
operations on 3 October 2024. Runway
designations were updated accordingly:
Runway 1 (02R/20L), Runway 2 (01/19), and
Runway 3 (02L/20R). This expansion has
significantly bolstered Suvarnabhumi Airport’s
capacity, reinforcing Thailand’s position
as a global aviation hub and strengthening
the connectivity of the nation’s economy
and tourism industry with the international
community—advancing long-term, sustainable
national development.
