Duties and powers




                 According to the Ministerial Regulation on the Organization of the Office of the National

            Land Policy Board, Office of the Prime Minister, B.E. 2564 (2021), the Office of the National
            Land Policy Board has the missions to provide recommendations on national land and soil
            resource management policies and plans, implementing measures and guidelines on fare land

            holding and resolve problems related to State land, including monitoring and evaluation of
            national land and soil resource management. Its duties and powers are:
                 1. To act as a secretariat of the National Land Policy Board;
                 2. To provide comments to take into consideration in the formulation of land and soil
            resource  management  policies  and  plans;

                 3.  To  propose  measures  on  the  monitoring,  examination  and  evaluation  of  the
            implementation  of  national  land  and  soil  resource  management  policies  and  plans;
                 4. To monitor, examine and evaluate national land use in compliance with the national

            land  and  soil  resource  management  policies,  rules,  regulations,  and  relevant  measures;
                 5. To provide comments to take into consideration in the development of measures or
            guidelines  on  fair  land  holding;
                 6. To consider complaints and problems related to land and soil resources and undertake
            investigation in coordination with relevant agencies;

                 7. To propose the enactment, amendment, revision, or revocation of laws on land and soil
            resource management and propose guidelines to resolve the problems of various committees or
            government agencies on land and soil resources management having redundant or conflicting

            duties and powers;
                 8. To propose solutions in relation to problems on State land boundaries as well as
            mitigation  measures  for  people  affected  by  such  boundaries;
                 9. To monitor, coordinate, support, or expedite the operations of committees under other
            laws or other relevant government agencies.

                 10. To link information technology networks, develop applied programs, compile, store,
            analyze,  and  disseminate  national  land  and  soil  resource  information.
                 11. To present the performance and evaluation reports of the National Land Policy Board.

                 12. To perform any other tasks prscribed as duties and powers of ONLB by the law, or
            assigned  by  the  Prime  Minister  or  the  Cabinet.
