Wat Nong Waeng
Wat Nong Waeng is home to Phra Mahathat Kaen Nakhon
Anuson Sathuchon, or the nine-tiered relics, a Khon Kaen
monument. The pagoda-shaped canopy combines Dvaravati
with Indochinese art and is modeled after Phra That
Kham Kaen shrine. If you have time, go for a walk and
take photographs with street art at The Wall Khon Kaen
Family Space, which is a traditional medicine factory and
an ancient printing house renovated into a new creative
space in the city center.

Columbo Craft Village
A group of art-loving friends founded a modest
craft-lovers community on Columbo Road. The hamlet
has six residences, each with its unique style, such as
Claymore, which sells ceramics and pottery, and
Namkande Studio, whose name derives from the Isan
language and means “together” and offers fabric goods
such as purses, caps and camera straps. For those who
are interested, there is also a sewing workshop.
