ASEAN MENTORSHIP FOR
ENTREPRENEURS NETWORK
FOR MSMES
ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN) was established by ASEAN Business
Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) during the Philippines Chairmanship in 2017, with the aims of
promoting the integration and acceleration of MSME’s access to mentorship, money and market
(3Ms) as the framework for MSME empowerment to scale up offline and online. These three factors
will help create an enabling environment for MSMEs. Empowering the MSMEs is vital to achieving
inclusive growth and poverty reduction. The MSMEs constitute around 95 percent of establishments
and provide about 75 percent of total employment in the region. It has also recognized the growing
importance of MSMEs who account for over 80 percent of all business in the world. MSMEs are
thus the backbone of ASEAN and MSME development is fundamental towards achieving long-run
