also like to take this opportunity to reaffirm our full support for the ASEAN Business
and Investment Summit (ABIS) 2019, which is the prominent ASEAN-BAC event held
in conjunction with the ASEAN Summit this year. The ABIS 2019 provides an important
platform for ASEAN Leaders to engage with other world leaders, and indeed the global
business community, to exchange ideas and experiences, and promote the many
opportunities for global growth, not to mention social and economic development,
through the ASEAN region as a strategic link in the global economy.

I am, therefore, confident that the ABIS 2019 will stimulate greater cooperation
that will benefit our societies and business communities as we work together to
capture the many opportunities for responsible economic expansion and sustainable
development brought on by the Fourth Industrial Revolution of the 21 century. It is an

honour for Thailand to host this event, welcome our international friends, and contribute
to international collaboration on this important agenda for the benefit of all global
citizens.
