Objectives

01 To promote the greater role and the triple helix collaboration of the government,
academe, and industry in ASEAN in moving forward industry 4.0 with special focus
on MSMEs and Startups

02 To underscore the importance of manpower development to keep abreast of frontier
technologies and innovation in relation to smarting factory, digital value chain and
digital literacy focusing on up-skilling and re-skilling workforce

03 To stimulate adoption and diffusion of innovation and technologies involving
industry 4.0 through promoting the sharing of information, experiences and best
practices on devising and implementing policies, especially innovation building
policies and mechanisms to promote industry 4.0
