Symposium on AHEAD

(ASEAN Human Empowerment

and Development)

ON 21 JUNE 2019, BANGKOK, THAILAND

The symposium on “ASEAN Human Empowerment and Development (AHEAD)” is aimed to
serve as a forum to address opportunities and challenges of the 4IR toward human capital within
ASEAN and to provide a dialogue platform for the stakeholders to share experiences and brainstorm
on human empowerment and development to embrace 4IR. The outcome of the symposium will
be incorporated into the Guidelines on Skilled Workforce and/or Professional Services Development
in Response to the 4IR, and for the subsequent submissions to the ASEAN Economic Ministers and
the ASEAN Leaders.

Objectives

01 Address the opportunities and challenges of the 4IR toward human capital.

02 Create awareness and prepare skilled workforce to embrace 4IR

03 Facilitate further inputs for Guidelines on Skilled Workforce and/or Professional Services
Development in response to the 4IR, which is part of priority economic deliverables
under Thailand’s 2019 ASEAN Chairmanship
