“An encouraging forum for ASEAN business community aims at showcasing outstanding
and successful ASEAN companies contributing to ASEAN’s economic growth and prosperity,
as well as recognizing ASEAN SMEs with the potential to be global players.”

The ASEAN-BAC organizes the annual ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) event to recognize
outstanding and successful ASEAN companies that are contributing to ASEAN’s economic growth
and prosperity. ABA 2019 is the continuation of the inaugural ABA’s success in 2007.

ASEAN-BAC Thailand will be hosting ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2019 on 2 November 2019,
in conjunction with the ASEAN Business and Investment Summit as well as the 35th ASEAN Summit,
in Bangkok, Thailand.

The objectives of ABA 2019 are to recognize outstanding ASEAN enterprises in playing roles
of building ASEAN economic growth and prosperity, and to promote the promising ASEAN small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have the potential of becoming global economic players,
who are the important mechanism to empowering the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).

ASEAN-BAC Thailand has supported the role and missions of ASEAN enterprises in many
business fields including sustainable social enterprise, green enterprise, corporate social responsibility
(CSR) and startup and innovation driven entrepreneur (IDE). These business fields as categories
of ABA 2019 are promoted in accordance with the theme of Thailand’s 2019 ASEAN chairmanship,
“Advancing Partnership for Sustainability”. Advancing (Digital ASEAN, Future-Oriented), Partnership
(Seamless ASEAN, Enhanced Connectivity) and Sustainability (Sustainability in All Dimensions).

Therefore, the Most Admired ASEAN Enterprise Awards will be given to those outstanding and
successful home-grown ASEAN companies and ASEAN SMEs. The selection process was carried out
by distinguished panel of judges from ASEAN countries.
