A form of severe mental illness that can be treated after giving birth. This
illness can occur in women with no history of mental illness. Some women with a
history of mood swings are at a higher risk of developing postpartum psychosis.

Post-traumatic stress disorder is caused by encountering bad events. The
client may have nightmares, anxiety, is startled, and unable to control their
thoughts about the situation.
