Our lengthy discussions, whether about Samuelson, Keynes, Tchaikovsky, Van Gogh, or
the current news, were more than just chats. They were the building blocks of a friendship that

has shaped who I am. As I move forward, I will carry his teachings, his spirit, and the memories
of our conversations with me, striving to be a beacon of light for others as he was for me.
To my mentor, colleague, and cherished friend of nearly 30 years, Ajarn Bhunupong—your
remembrance and the moments we had, continue to inspire and lead me every day.

Phongthorn Wrasai has been reading Economics at Thammasat University since 1998. He was
a former student, a research assistant, a colleague, and a friend of Professor Bhanupong for almost
          thirty years.
