Office of the National Land Policy Board or ONLB is established under the Office of the Prime
Minister and is under the authority of the Prime Minister. It was established on 11 February 2021
under the Amending Ministry, Sub-Ministry, and Department Act (No.20), B.E. 2564 (2021) as a
Secretariat of the National Land Policy Board and is responsible in Managing national land and
soil resources as stipulated in the National Land Policy Board Act, B.E. 2562 (2019). It is tasked to
coordinate and integrate works with related agencies to maximize benefits to the country and people
under its vision of “Expediting unity-based policy implementation in the management of national land
and soil resources towards sustainable livelihoods”.
In the fiscal year 2023, ONLB undertook its duties in accordance with the government poli-
cies and as directed the by the National Land Policy Board through a collaboration with relevant
stakeholders in the public and private sectors, and its networks to expedite the implementation of
national land and soil resource management, including the revision of the State land boundary using
a scale of 1:4000 (One Map), verification of the possessory right over State land, implementation
of the land allocation to communities policy, development of tools, mechanisms and adoption of
innovative technologies to support its operations. ONLB has also initiated collaborations with various
agencies to enhance its efficiency in land and soli resource management, develop public utility systems
and provide occupational training to local people living in NLB-managed land with the aim to ease
people’s struggle in accordance with the government’s policies and the 20-Year National Strategy.
ONLB strives toward concrete outcomes in land and soil resource management, including through
enabling access to land by landless agriculturists and impoverished people while also ensuring their
sufficient income and sustainable livelihoods. ONLB strictly adheres to applicable laws and regulations
and the principles of truth, transparency and equity in resolving people’s struggles with settlements
and productive land across the nation.
Lastly, I would like to thank all ONLB’s executives, officials, employees and staff for their
dedication and tireless efforts in performing their roles, especially in allocating land to communities
and promoting occupational training to local communities that has resulted in positive outcome for
both people and the nation. I would like to express my gratitude to all sectors for their kind cooperation
and support to ONLB’s work and I sincerely hope that such collaboration will continue in our integrated
efforts toward sustainable land and soil resource management.
