Risk Management Committee Report











                    The Provincial Electricity Authority’s primary mission is to provide electricity services

             and engage in other related businesses to meet customer needs and build satisfaction in quality
             and services by developing the organization continually with responsibility to society and the
             environment.
                    The Provincial Electricity Authority has management processes to respond to the
             organization’s primary mission by adhering to the principle of Enterprise Risk Management
             (ERM) to increase ability and capacity to manage uncertain events and respond to risks in time
             to create positive results for the Provincial Electricity Authority’s current and future missions.

                    In 2016, the Risk Management Committee of the Provincial Electricity Authority approved
             of the following six organization-level risks managed by the Provincial Electricity Authority :
                    1. Provincial Electricity Authority inability to provide electricity services and distribution
             services consistently.
                    2. Personnel readiness for future operations.

                    3. Asset management to achieve maximum effciency.
                    4. Information Technology Security (IT Security).
                    5. High overall loss.
                    6. Loss of the organization’s image and reputation.
                    In managing the six aforementioned risks, the Provincial Electricity Authority has set
             measures to manage risks and achieved acceptable targets for the organization. The Risk

             Management Committee of the Provincial Electricity Authority also emphasizes that every section
             realize and place importance on risks, particularly tasks requiring safety (zero accidents) to
             achieve success.
                    The Risk Management Committee, Provincial Electricity Authority, is highly confdent
             of the fact that support and participation by every employee working in compliance with risk

             management measures will help increase opportunities for success and reduce the impact of
             obstacles and uncertainty on overall performance of the Provincial Electricity Authority. This will
             help the Provincial Electricity Authority become a leading organization as “The Electricity Utility
             of the Future”.
