         Horse Cart Tour

One of the charms Pyin Oo Lwin has retained is its horse-drawn,
wooden carriages, many well over a century old. The drivers, mostly
descendants of the first Indian and Nepali coachmen, continue to
drive the same carriage as their father and grandfather. Some are
ornate, open-air carriages, others rickety, small, box-like coaches,
but all the drivers, from their perch up front, can guide you on a
tour with detailed explanations of this hill station and red and yellow
brick colonial government buildings, mansions and cottages that
still serve as administrative offices, hotels and private residences.
