MESSAGE FROM THE

                  MINISTER OF TOURISM AND SPORTS

                                         Mr. Sermsak Pongpanit
                                        Minister of Tourism and Sports

The tourism industry has been a significant contributor to the economy as well as the
positive socioeconomic impacts it brings to our people, this is clearly indicated through the
Royal Thai Government’s commitment to boosting Thailand as a tourism hub to drive the
economy and bring prosperity to the country. This goal is achievable through strategies
that could ultimately establish Thailand as a leading destination for tourists from around
the world. The strategies include elevating the tourist experience, promoting must-do
activities, raising awareness of hidden-gem destinations, developing intra-regional travel
linkage with neighbouring countries, and hosting more world-class events.
Thailand is now recognised as one of the most visited destinations in the world.
This success has come about from the various collaborative campaigns between
the government and private sector in promoting the country’s tourism products and
services, as well as, the friendliness and warm hospitality of its people to the world. This
has also benefitted the Thai people socioeconomically, resulting in vast employment
opportunities and distribution of income nationwide, paving way for a better quality of
           life.

However, our efforts have not been conducted alone but through the integration
and assistance from the private sector, including the Association of Thai Travel Agents
(ATTA) through its members who have also had a major role in promoting Thailand’s
tourism to their clients worldwide to visit and experience the countless tourism resources
           on offer in Amazing Thailand.
Therefore, on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, I am delighted to express
my wholehearted appreciation to the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) and its
members for their continuous support and hope they will accomplish their objectives and
attain prosperous success for the future. In addition, I am certain that through the 2024-
2025 ATTA Directory and from our cooperative endeavours, we will see an increase in
tourist arrivals which will certainly contribute to elevating Thailand’s position in the global
           tourism arena.
