This is to honor and remember a dear friend and colleague who brought light and great
memories. Professor Bhanupong Nidhiprabha was a man of integrity, always following the
rules with unwavering honesty. His strict demeanor was a testament to his strong principles and
dedication to his work.
I do not remember when I first met him but I heard of this Macroeconomics expert before we
met. We cooperated on some research projects and participated in several seminars. We attended
several meetings together, especially when we were both deans. Professor Bhanupong was dean
at the Faculty of Economics while I was dean at the Business School. We shared similar thoughts
about matters concerning Thammasat University and how to manage our respective faculties.
Since then, we talked and discussed several topics. I had the opportunity to meet his family,
his wife Divina, and Ton his only son. He was indeed a family man and a teacher by heart. Beyond
his professional demeanor, Professor Bhanupong had a deep love for art and classical music. His
passion for the arts was contagious, and his knowledge was vast, making certain conversations
with him colorful and intuitive.
But what truly set Professor Bhanupong apart was his peculiar sense of humor. His wit made
some of his sarcasm complicated. Sometimes it took a while for me to understand them. He also
has a unique perspective on life.
