I deeply admired both of them. Khun Tik restored Divina’s vibrant spirit after her stroke,
and she, in turn, tirelessly cared for him during his illness. Their love and dedication were truly

inspiring.
A few weeks before his passing, I visited Khun Tik and paid my respects. His kindness and
warmth left a lasting impression. He was undoubtedly a selfless individual who devoted his life
to his family, friends, colleagues, and his country. He was truly one in a million.

May his beautiful soul rest in peace.

Zenaida (Zeny) Vannaying, a Filipina, is the owner of two hotels in Bangkok: Arck and Akara;
and two hotels in Pattaya: Hotel Vista and Akara Pattaya. She also owns two Filipino restaurants,
Lola’s Kitchen at the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 49 and Viva Filipinas on the 4th Floor of Akara.
Bangkok. Zeny and her Thai husband, Khun Viwat, have been married for 50 years. They have
three grown-up sons and two grandchildren.
