ACCOMMODATION
INTERVIEW - BOARDER
Currently I am studying in Year 8 at Rossall School and this is the second year of having
experience living in the accommodation of Rossall School. The school has great accommodation,
various facilities, and very beautiful nature. Here, I am well taken care of by the teachers and the
school.
In the first year that I moved into the dorm, I had my roommates coming from Spain. At
that time, there were some obstacles in communication but in the end it all went well. Regarding
the adaptation to new accommodation, there are many different conditions from living with family
in Thailand. For example, the weather and the school regulation I would have to comply with. Such
regulation includes limiting the use of mobile phones to only 1 hour a day or living with other students
with respect and helpfulness in order to prevent problems. For me, all of these regulations helps
regulate and benefit students themselves.
“One thing that I really appreciate is the caring of the
teachers. In the beginning of my journey, when I got
Auae homesick or any other problem, they will
always be there to help me out”
Siwat Kamsuwan When a student has a problem, it is important to immediately inform or communicate to
Year 8, Rossall School the teacher in order to have the problem being solved in time.
If anyone thinks living in a dorm is boring, it is not at all because there are various activities
to join in. You will not get bored for sure.
At Roedean school, I have been assigned to stay at House 4. This boarding house offers
a warm and cozy atmosphere which for me is better than staying at a dormitory. Students here
have their own private bedroom but they have to share bathrooms and common areas with class-
mates. My bedroom view is very fantastic because it faces Marina Bay. I can also hear the sound
of seagulls from my bedroom. There is also a park beside the school for students to relax. Because
I am currently in year 10, the school also allows us to go outside on weekends. My friends and I
usually go shopping because the bus stop is just right in front of the school. The bus takes us only
17 minutes to get to Churchill Square Shopping Center.
Talking about the school, I think small-sized schools are beneficial for students because
Pat teachers can give close attention to all students. After studying at Roedean school for over a year,
the things that I cannot get from studying in Thailand are language and art skills. With only one year,
Pat Sevikul from getting a B in English class, I am now getting an A. More importantly, my academic English
Year 8, Roedean School writing skill has significantly improved.
