3. Waste Reduction of Using DVDs:
Following the statistics from 2021-2024, the results show a slight decrease when comparing
2023 and 2024. The number of DVDs in 2023 was 3,500, while in 2024 it was 2,600, a difference of 900
pieces. This equates to a 25% decrease in DVDs from 2023 to 2024.

In 2024, the number of DVDs remains high due to three factors: 1) less radiology images being
transferred via online portals, 2) a high number of patients still requiring DVDs instead of online portals,
and 3) patients still having limited experience with online portals. Despite not achieving the target, the
outlook for this project in the near future looks positive
Regarding the decrease in DVD waste, it is important to note that this also correlates with a
reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. In 2024, the decrease of 900 DVDs equates to a weight of 75kg.
Using the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s calculation for carbon dioxide emissions,
this reduction in DVD waste is equal to a decrease of approximately 193kg of carbon dioxide emissions.

            4. DVD cost Savings:

Following the statistics from 2021-2024, the results show a slight decrease when comparing
2023 and 2024. The cost of DVDs in 2023 was 4245USD, while in 2024 it was 2574USD, a difference of
1671USD. This equates to a 39% decrease in DVDs cost from 2023 to 2024.
