Dr. Naris Chaiyasoot and Professor Bhanupong became university administrators, serving
as the Rector and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs for two terms. As a member of the University

Council, I participated in upholding the principles of Thammasat University, as have many senior
           alumni, setting an example.
Prof. Bhanupong, as the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, contributed significantly to
Thammasat University, especially during its expansion to Rangsit, leading to the establishment

of many new faculties, as briefly mentioned by Dr. Naris Chaiyasoot in his previous writings
about Prof. Bhanupong, showing that both administrators worked according to the principles of
Thammasat University, cherished by everyone. “We love Thammasat because Thammasat teaches
           us to love the people.”

Finally, I would like to thank Mrs. Divina for allowing me to write this brief message about
Bhanupong even though my health is not good and I might not be able to write in time. But
the love of Bhanupong’s wife and friends like Dr. Naris gave me the strength to write this brief
           message.

With love and mourning for Prof. Bhanupong Nidhiprabha
           Pirom Chantaworn

Pirom Chantaworn was a former member of the Faculty of Economics, at Thammasat University,
both as a lecturer and an administrator. He helped Prof. Dr. Puey Ungphakorn, a former Dean
of the Faculty of Economics with the Graduate Diploma Program in 1969, called the Volunteer

Graduate Program. He was elected to the Thammasat University Council three times.
Dr. Pirom obtained a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Thammsat University and a Ph.D. in
economics from the University of the Philippines.
