as a system to perform various tasks. There is development of internal and external communication
within the organisation. Public understanding of democratic governance under a constitutional

monarchy is promoted, and there are developments of the Election Commission’s website at
www.ect.go.th, the Smart Vote application, and the Civic Education application to provide
information, knowledge, and convenience to the public. There is also an addition of channel

to report election fraud through the “Pineapple Eyes” application. Inquiries regarding the law
or updates on the operations of the Election Commission can be answered through the

hotline 1444. Additionally, there have been developments in investigation, inquiry, and prosecution
procedures for those who violate electoral laws. There have been amendments to
regulations and announcements related to elections, and the development of training

programs for personnel involved in investigation and inquiry procedures.
The OECT has reviewed and revised its strategies to be in line with the National

Strategy and the context of the country’s current development under the National Strategy Act,
B.E. 2560 (2017) which has changed the main agency responsible for the third level (จ. ๓), to be
increased with political stability and good governance. This change came about as a

result of the transformation of the Office of the National Economic and Social
Development Board to the OECT, which focuses on accelerating political development
based on honest, just and lawful elections. The OECT has prepared to be

the main coordinator and integrator of work with relevant agencies that need
to plan and implement operations in line with the National Strategy B.E. 2566
- 2580 (2023 - 2037) (revised edition) which is the second-level plan and

the direction of the country’s development. This will lead Thailand to achieve its vision of
‘stable, prosperous, and sustainable Thailand, a developed country through sufficiency

economic development’. Therefore, the OECT is a crucial mechanism in driving the
aforementioned mission.
In addition to ensuring that the OECT’s operations comply with the law, it is

also necessary to translate the policies of the Election Commission into effective
practices that achieve results in order to gain international recognition for the

professionalism of the electoral process in a democratic system under a constitutional
monarchy in the future.
The Election Commission has the OECT to support the duties of the Election

Commission. It can manage elections and perform various tasks according to its duties and
authority to achieve success and gain acceptance from society. This is due to the management
team’s knowledge, ability, and experience, with plans for managing resources that are

competent. Personnel of the Election Commission are fully committed to their duties. There is,
also, a Strategic Plan of the OECT to be a tool for monitoring operations until the
