NEARBY                                                                       The exhibits begin with life in Lom Sak around the time of World War II


                                                                                      with recreations of an old movie theater and opium den. Then, there is a
                                                                                      room dedicated to early occupations, like peddling a trishaw and farming.
         ATTRACTIONS                                                                  There is also a room that tells of the contributions made to the kingdom
                                                                                      by the late King Bumiphol Adulyadej as well as the first Thai Lom settlers
                                                                                      who came from Laos. Along with dioramas on village life and traditions in
                                                                                      days of yore, there is a room that focuses on the district’s wide variety of
                                                                                      crops and foods it produces.

         The town and district of Lom Sak is located in the east of the province.
         A quiet community, everyone is always surprised by the bright
         orange colonial-style building with its green doors and window trim,
         home to the Lom Sak Museum.  After being welcomed by bronze
         sculptures of children playing traditional games in a well-manicured
         garden, visitors are even more amazed by the ten-room complex,
         featuring very detailed displays and exhibits.
