Thailand’s Six International Airports

• Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)

Suvarnabhumi Airport is located in Samut Prakan Province, approximately 31
kilometres east of Bangkok. Spanning approximately 22,000 rai, it is the largest
airport in Thailand and the third largest in the world by area. The airport commenced
commercial operations on 28 September 2006 and is the country’s main interna-
tional gateway. It features modern architecture and cutting-edge technology, with
exceptional services across all areas. The terminal comprises seven floors and two
basement levels. The arrival hall is on the second floor, while the departure hall is on
the fourth floor. Meeting areas, retail outlets, security screening points, and service
desks are located on the second and third floors.
