The Comprehensive Plan serves as a critical instrument in guiding Bangkok’s
development in response to change while facilitating everyday urban living.
To this end, the City Planning and Urban Development Department has
undertaken the preparation of the Draft Bangkok Comprehensive Plan
(4 Revision) in accordance with the Town Planning Act, B.E. 2518 (1975)

and the Town Planning Act, B.E. 2562 (2019) on a continuous basis.
Throughout fiscal year 2024, the Department advanced a series of public
consultation processes, discussions, and participatory activities, providing
opportunities for stakeholders from all sectors to express opinions and
submit recommendations on the preparation of the new Comprehensive
Plan. These inputs were subsequently compiled, reviewed, and incorporated
into substantive revisions based on factual conditions and public feedback,
ensuring that the draft plan is well suited to local contexts and effectively
responds to the needs of all population groups.
