An analysis of agricultural land-use change over the 16-year period from 2007 to 2023 reveals a
continuous decline in agricultural areas, with Lat Krabang District experiencing a greater reduction than
Min Buri District. The areas with the most significant loss of agricultural land were Khum Thong Subdistrict,
followed by Khlong Song Ton Nun Subdistrict and Thap Yao Subdistrict, respectively. Key factors
driving this decline include urban expansion, increased residential density, the development of major
transportation corridors, and the construction of mass transit systems such as the Pink Line and
the Airport Rail Link. These developments have resulted in large areas of agricultural land being
converted into urban and vacant land.
