Victory Monument is a prominent landmark that has been
registered as an ancient monument by the Fine Arts Department
and holds significant historical and architectural value. It also
serves as a major transportation hub with a high volume of daily
users. The landscape improvement and public space development
project along Samsen Canal in the Victory Monument area
therefore aims to create a balance between the area’s fast-paced
movement and the provision of high-quality public spaces. This
is achieved through improvements to area surrounding Victory
Monument to establish a continuous, smooth, and safe pedestrian
network with sun and rain protection. The project also includes the
expansion of green spaces and the design of canal-side areas as
high-quality recreational spaces to accommodate diverse users,
including local residents, commuters, and tourists.
