Units Sales Categorized by Electricity Fee Types
                    Power units Sales Categorized by electrity fee types in 2016 grew for all fee categories,
             except for agricultural water pumping, temporary electricity and reserve electiricty as follows:

             Residences grew by 6.97 percent, small enterprises grew by 5.53 percent, medium enterprises grew
             by 4.58 percent, large enterprises grew by 4.74 percent, specialized enterprises grew by 7.63 percent,
             non-proft organizations grew by 8.36 percent, agricultural water pumping receded by 30.90
             percent, temporary electricity receded by 0.30 percent, reserve electricity receded by 19.83
             percent, the interruptible rate grew by 2.87 percent, and free electricity grew by 7.66 percent.



                    Units Sales Categorized by the Top Ten Economic Activities with the Most Power
             Consumption
                    PEA categorizes power distribution to major business and industrial sectors
             based on their types of economic activities by using the Thailand Standard Industrial
             Classifcation (TSIC). In 2016, the following ten economic activities consumed the most power :

                    • Automobile manufacturing grew by 5.19 percent from power consumption to assemble
                     automobiles, automobile chassis, automobile parts and equipments from the need for
                     new automobile models during the year to support tourism sector growth and domestic
                     demand and the needs of countries in the region.
                    • Electronic equipment manufacturing grew by 1.96 percent from the need for various
                     types of electronic products such as ICs, electrical appliances and power generating

                     panels at the end of the year, resulting in increased power consumption to produce
                     electronic parts for export to overseas.
                    • Steel manufacturing grew by 4.71 percent from global and construction sector steel
                     needs including for the production of electronic devices such as washing machines
                     or air-conditioners and preparation of automobile production, which is expected to

                     have higher demand in the future.
                    • Cement manufacturing receded by 1.02 from lower purchase orders from Myanmar,
                     Malaysia and Cambodia in addition to lower domestic demand for cement from the
                     fact that many major construction projects have been performed.
                    • Plastic manufacturing grew by 5.01 percent from increased production for export
                     overseas based on purchase orders such as plastic containers, sheets and parts
                     which are components in related industries.

                    • Hotels grew by 5.76 percent based on tourism sector growth driven by tourism promotion
                     measures. In 2016, the number of foreign tourisms in Thailand increased by 8.92
                     percent, causing related businesses such as hotel, transportation, sales and other
                     service businesses to grow by 7.63 percent, 8.51 percent and 7.77 percent, respectively.
                    • Department stores grew by 5.51 percent due to government spending promotion

                     measures, consumption needs of the household sector from higher purchasing power
                     and growth in the tourism sector.
                    • Ice production grew by 4.22 percent from hotter weather conditions, which resulted
                       in higher need for ice in consumption, fshing and transport of products with need to
                     maintain product quality.
