• The industrial group had a ratio of 48.89 percent of total power distribution, or growth
of 3.91 percent, from power needs of main industrial groups such as automobile manufacturing,
steel manufacturing, plastic manufacturing and electronic equipment manufacturing. Steel

manufacturing had increased production after recession in the previous year. Automobile
manufacturing increased from 2015 from production of new automobile models to support
                             domestic demand and exports.
                                    • Other groups (non-proft organizations, agricultural water pumping, temporary electricity
and free electricity) had a ratio of 2.92 percent of total power distribution, or growth by 1.55
percent, from power uses in offce buildings of agencies. This increased from hotter weather

                             conditions than in 2015.

                                    Units Sales Categorized by Area
                                    • The Northern Region had a ratio of 14.43 percent of total power distribution, or growth
of 4.19 percent, mainly from power consumption by residential areas.

                                    • The Northeastern Region had a ratio of 15.86 percent of total power distribution, or
growth of 6.81 percent. This region has the highest growth from residential power consumption
by a larger number of power users than other areas.
                                    • The Central Region had a ratio of 52.85 percent of total power distribution, or growth
of 4.85 percent, mainly from industrial sector power consumption because the region is the
location of many industrial factories and industrial power users have a higher density than other

                             areas.
                                    • The Southern Region had a ratio of 16.87 percent of total power distribution, or growth
of 5.94 percent, from power consumption in the business sector driven by the tourism sector.
This is because the Southern Region has a larger proportion of tourist sites popular to foreigners
and a larger number of tourist accommodations, resulting in good power consumption growth

                             among hotels and related businesses.

Units Sales Categorized by Distribution Voltage
                                    • 230 kV – Only one power user uses 230 kV power, namely, G Steel PCL, which
operates in steel manufacturing with a ratio of 0.18 of total power distribution and had a
                             recession of 12.88 percent.
                                    • 115 kV – Power distributed at 115 kV had a ratio of 19.79 percent of total power

distribution and growth of 4.54 percent.
                                    • 69 kV – Power distributed at 69 kV had only two power users, namely, Goodyear
(Thailand) PCL. and Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University (Wang Noi), at a ratio of 0.03
percent of total power distribution and growth of 4.48 percent.
                                    • 22 – 33 kV – Power distributed at 22 – 33 kV had a ratio of 47.40 percent of total

power distribution and growth of 4.77 percent.
                                    • Less than 22 – 33 kV – Power distributed at less than 22 – 33 kV had a ratio of 32.60
percent of total power distribution or a growth by 6.51 percent. This voltage grew more than
other levels because power users (88.60%) were in the residence group.
