The Chao Phraya Riverfront Landscape Improvement
Project (Charoen Nakhon 1–Bang Lamphu Lang Canal
Section),
focuses on enhancing the Chao Phraya riverfront landscape to establish
continuous pedestrian connectivity along the river corridor, extending
from Charoen Nakhon 1 through ICONSIAM and Chaloem Phra Kiat
Forest Park to U Mai Community and Bang Lamphu Lang Canal. The
project designs the waterfront to be safe and continuously walkable,
while adding scenic viewpoints, seating areas, lighting systems,
and activity spaces that reflect the local identity. The project also
strengthens the role of the emerging creative economic district along
Charoen Nakhon Road and around the Gold Line mass transit stations,
transforming the riverfront into an accessible pedestrian corridor and
a catalyst for new economic activities. At the same time, it effectively
connects existing residential neighborhoods with tourism destinations
and natural riverfront areas along the Chao Phraya River in a balanced
and integrated manner.
