Responsibility to Society and the Environment
PEA is determined to promote strength in working in line with primary missions and
corporate social responsibility inside and outside the organization by combining international
standards with government policies, policies of the Board of Directors and executives, including
corporate strategies as guidelines for developing work in the area of responsibility to society and
the environment in order to tangibly improve displays of responsibility to society, the environment
and stakeholders.
PEA has always worked with responsibility to society and the environment in the
organization and outside the organization with policies to expand power distribution areas to
citizens in remote rural areas to provide power under plans for accelerating rural electricity
development in Thailand. The frst step of social activities was taken in 2016 when PEA expanded
performance in the area of corporate social responsibility under ISO 26000 corporate social
responsibility standards to cover the entire organization and push for every agency to be aware
of the importance of compliance with corporate social responsibility standards in every process.
PEA requires every branch to participate in preparing the PEA plan for responsibility to society
and the environment of 2017 – 2021 under the guidelines of the ISO 26000 standards for corporate
social responsibility to create a framework guideline for operations. In addition, PEA hosts educational
training for executives and employees of electricity authorities in all 12 districts and the main
offce. PEA hosts seminars and workshops to analyze and identify advantages, disadvantages,
opportunities and threats in the area of the organization’s corporate social responsibility (CSR SWOT).
Moreover, PEA prioritizes stakeholders with consideration given to impacts, anxiety and expectations
in order to prepare work plans consistent with strategies of the model scheme for responsibility
to society and the environment and the seven main topics of ISO 26000 standards consisting of :
